Qualifications

When I first began my journey as a physiotherapist I became qualified in rehabilitation counselling, exercise physiology and nutrition. After 15 years of practicing, these experiences have led me toward systems of treatments that I find resonate truest to a holistic approach to the body and mind that promote wonderful and great healing.

“My goal is to assist people in reaching their uniquely individual balance and alignment, whilst supporting their own capacity for inner healing.”

Some of these techniques today include and are not limited to CranioSacral  & SomatoEmotional Release, Neuromeningeal manipulation & Visceral Manipulation, Integrative Acupuncture, Total Energetic Balancing and the Body Talk system.

Combining proven manual based techniques for healing, and bringing acknowledgement to the emotional aspect involved around pain and trauma, we work towards addressing and bringing all facets together to achieve a true rejuvenation for the self and toward life.

My passion for integrative holistic medicine and community health became evident after returning from my volunteering experience in the Philippines back in 2016. There I worked closely with one of the local governments, a non-profit organisation and also provided training for medical staffs and local physiotherapy students to establish a sustainable community-based rehabilitation therapy program and centre to help children with disabilities to stand up again.

It was an eye opening and life changing experience that awoke the desire within me to explore alternative approaches to injury and healing that address all aspects of the healing journey, and not just the physical. It resonated strongly with me that even within a very different environment from the one I lived in back home, everyone was capable of being susceptible to setbacks emotionally that come from experiencing trauma and pain. This includes those who are supporting the injured person. The role this can play in the healing journey is integral to acknowledge and work with in conjunction with treatment, especially in the cases of long term or acute injury.

I have particular interest in working with gut health, pelvic related conditions, headaches, concussions, temporo-mandibular joint (Jaw) conditions, tongue-tie, voice and swallowing conditions, reflux & digestive issues, physical and emotional trauma, and other conditions that benefit from settling the nervous system (e.g. down-regulating the flight/flight response).

I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to work with a variety of wonderful people in helping achieve their goals in their healing journey, and it is because of the experiences we shared that I have founded the Inteholistic journey.

Thank you to the clients of the past and current, and I look forward to meeting and facilitating your journey to better health.
