A Breath Closer to Your State of Calm

Having trouble of calming your anxious mind?



Try this …


First bring your awareness to your breath. Without changing the breath, notice all the different sensations of breathing.


🧘🏻 Begin counting your breath in and out using your inner voice.


😮 With your first inhale, silently say with your inner voice “20”


😮‍💨 With your next exhale, say “19”


🥱 With your next inhale, say “18”


😴 Keep going, counting back to “0”..


If you lose track and wander into thinking, know that this is totally normal ! Without judging yourself, gently come back to watching the breath and begin counting again.


Your mind will eventually arrive into a state of calm awareness, steady and focused. An occasional thought will come, then it will go. Just keep mindful of the breath flowing in and out.
